It was a lighter weekend of racing for Full Circle Endurance athletes, but it was a great one, nevertheless!

Marine Corps Marathon – Lake Placid, New York (Virtual)

Lisa poses with all of her finisher bling from the Marine Corps Marathon Trifecta!

On Sunday, November 7, 2021, Lisa Crockford completed the third and final race needed for the Marine Corps Marathon Trifecta when she ran the virtual Marine Corps Marathon in Syracuse, New York!

Lisa completed the Marine Corps Marathon 50K a few weeks ago and completed the Marine Corps Marathon 10K last weekend. This past weekend’s marathon caps off a seven-week period of time when Lisa was accomplishing a LOT of big endurance goals!

Unlike her 50K and 10K, when she had rainy, stormy conditions, Lisa had perfect weather for her virtual Marine Corps Marathon.  The sun was shining, the fall colors were abundant, and the humidity was low.  She finished the 26.2 miles steadily and feeling strong!

This week, Lisa is going to be basking in some well-earned rest!  Congratulations on such a strong fall season, Lisa! :)

Newburyport Half Marathon - Newburyport, Massachusetts

On Sunday, November 7, 2021, Emily Resciniti ran the Newburyport Half Marathon in Newburyport, Massachusetts!

Emily and I started working together just a few short months ago.  One of the reasons that Emily decided to hire me was that she was dealing with a lingering injury that was frustrating her and keeping her from making progress toward her goals.

Way back when she originally signed up for this race, Emily was uninjured and had wanted to try for a personal best time (PR).  After we started to work together, we agreed that getting to the start line injury-free would be our main goal, and anything else beyond that would be sprinkles on the sundae.

I’m so pleased to say that we were able to work through this injury and get Emily running pain-free again!  Thus, she toed the start line of the Newburyport Half Marathon injury-free and ready to take on the day.

Emily took in the beautiful autumn day and was able to cross the finish line strong and injury-free as well!  Now that we have built this durability, we will work on building speed over time so that Emily can eventually go for that PR that she originally set out for!

Congratulations, Emily!
