Three Full Circle Endurance athletes wrapped up their racing seasons this past weekend!
Jennifer Pearce finished off her season with the Last Call Triathlon in Loveland, Colorado on Saturday, September 30, 2023!
Originally, Jennifer thought that the Littlefoot Triathlon would be her last race of the season. But she was feeling good after that race and decided to race the Bear Chase 10K last weekend and the Last Call Triathlon this weekend. She felt strong throughout the entire race and came away with a result that she was really proud of.
Nice work, Jennifer!
Neil Beck raced the Olympic Distance of Waterman’s Triathlon in Rock Hall, Maryland on Saturday, September 30, 2023!
We experimented with a few different things in Neil’s training as we progressed toward this race, including making some changes to how his bike and run workouts are structured as well as changing the length and format of his Taper Phase leading into race day. Neil had an incredibly strong race, so strong, in fact, that Neil says that it’s one of the best races he’s ever done from both a physical and tactical perspective. He was especially pleased with his 10K run off the bike, which was his strongest and fastest run he’s had since we started working together two years ago.
Way to go, Neil!
Rebecca Dottolo ran the Wineglass Marathon in Corning, New York on Sunday, October 1, 2023!
This race is very well-loved here in Upstate New York for many reasons. It has great views of fall foliage, it is a net downhill course, and it’s incredibly well-organized. Rebecca was excited to run it!
Rebecca had some major life changes that occurred during her training for the Wineglass Marathon, which caused her to have to approach her training differently. This meant that her original goal that she set was unlikely to happen. Despite this (and very importantly), Rebecca made sure that the workouts she did complete were high-quality so she would be as prepared as possible for race day. She executed a strong race, only missing her original goal time by 10.5 minutes (which sounds like a lot, but really isn’t when talking about the marathon distance).
Well done, Rebecca!
