Two Full Circle Endurance athletes raced winter-themed events this past weekend!
Lisa Crockford kicked off 2022 with the Winter Warrior Quarter Marathon on Saturday, January 8, 2022!
Lisa and I have been working on building up her running for several months now. She’s been participating in several stand-alone running races to test out how her training has been going, and we’re seeing very real progress!
This was the first “longer” race that we had in her schedule to test out how effectively she’s able to hold these faster paces for longer distances, and it went very, very well! She ran a true “Progression Run”, where each mile was slightly faster than the previous one. Her fastest and strongest efforts were at the end of the race!
Well done, Lisa!
Winter can truly be a beautiful season! Dawn O’Shaughnessy is embracing this season by participating in the 2022 Winona Forest Snowshoe Events. The first race took place on Sunday, January 9, 2022 - The Norway 5K!
Snowshoe running turns “regular” running up at least four notches; it’s a challenge, but so much fun! Dawn had a great time running through the forest on snowshoes and finished with a smile! It will be great to hear about the rest of the series as we move through the season. :)
Great job, Dawn!
